Bought as a birthday gift for my wife who absolutely loved it.
Would highly recommend.
I was gifted this candle by my son(big fan of Nicholas and his decorating). I waited a bit to burn the candle because it wasn’t quite spring. Once I did light the candle I was thrilled by its scent! Not even lit, it scents the room. Nicholas, you have created the scent of pure bliss!
The other reviews have said it all. It has great ‘throw’ and fills a room…and beyond. Even though my candle is now spent, I’ve placed the pretty container on the windowsill of a southern facing window in my kitchen. The unique fragrance is still there and catches me unawares (in a good way) when I walk into the kitchen, especially on a warm day. Thank you Nicolas, I’m persuaded to buy another candle and try the reed diffuser.
Do it… just buy it now. Nothing quite compares to the fragrant smell of Nicolas Fairford in my very own home, I’ve had it on the burn every woken hour since buying. I’ve been an avid Instagram follower for some time now, so to have his presence under my roof is really something special.
I love the fragrance, the candle is beautiful and the tea is amazing !
I have tried so many other candles in the past and they have always given me a headache. But not NF’s love this candle, and smells beautiful too.
I have fallen in love with this scent. It evokes such a pleasant feeling of well-being.
Beautiful Candle. Will certainly purchase again.
Best candle in years. Intoxicating scent and great throw.
I absolutely love my candle. The fragrance is heavenly and reminds me of a country flower garden. I have the beautiful box on display on my coffee table. I burn my candle on Sunday morning great way to start the week. Even when it’s not lit my living room has floral scent. I am purchasing more candles as gifts for Mother’s Day (I live in California USA) Thank you Nicolas for this candle. Looking forward to more candles.
To ensure that your candle doesn’t tunnel, the first time you light it be prepared to let it burn until the entire top layer of wax has melted across. Each time you burn the candle after this, it will burn evenly. This is also known as candle memory. If you extinguish the flame before the top layer has melted fully across, it will burn this way each time and the unmelted wax around the edges will create a tunnel, which is essentially wasted fragrance.
Always trim the wick
To prevent your candle from smoking, always trim the wick before each use. This will also keep your candle clean and free of residue.
Dip to extinguish
It always best to extinguish the flame by dipping the wick into the melted wax. When you blow out a candle, the wick continues to burn for a short while, causing it to smoke. Instead dip the wick into the wax to extinguish, and then pull back out so that you can light it next time. I usually do this with the end of a used matchstick, but you could use tweezers, or a blunt knife.
